Full Description
Very substantial, original and retaining original chestnut rack with serpentine shaped sides, the fixed shelves each with channel carved delft groove and each with raised front border.

In excellent condition, the dresser base with twin planked top and attractive fielded panel doors. The drawers with well moulded fronts and the whole peg jointed throughout and with original shelving in the cupboard, original top, bottom and backboards also. The three large drawers open and close smoothly and have clean and robust chestnut linings. Iron ring handles are later replacements but go through original holes and are correct in style. The iron butterfly hinges to the cupboard doors are original. In excellent original condition, a couple of dings and minor depletions but nothing significant and the structure is very solid and sound. A tiny number of old worm holes to the side panels - long since treated and dead.

Extremely heavy and robust, this is a really good early Spanish chestnut dresser of small well balanced proportions, in excellent condition and with a fantastic colour.

Completely usable and guaranteed to delight.
