Full Description
A beautiful Welsh oak three stage dresser, also known as a tridarn. The uppermost tier intended for displaying Fine porcelain and silver.

Original timbers throughout including back, top and bottom boards. The handles are later turned oak replacements, probably 19th century but these are correct in style and sit in the original holes.

Truly stunning color and rich natural patina. The frieze carved with the date 1734 and the initials RE and MW.

Drawer linings appear original but are in our view replaced - a very long time ago and very well done. Locks and escutcheons are 18th-19th century.

The tridarn was almost certainly made to commemorate a marriage and is a superb quality joined and pegged example in very good condition throughout having been well loved and cared for all of its life.

From a local Sussex country house with provenance.
