Full Description
A fine quality solid mahogany double window seat newly re-padded and upholstered in a taupe pure silk fabric embroidered with flowers and foliage. The silk with a lovely soft sheen and the stool without repairs or damage and only tiny marks to the frame consistent with age and very careful use.

Comfortable, heavy and robust, the seat is a lovely size, beautiful colour to the mahogany with richly figured crotches of mahogany in each panel of the chair back scroll carved ends and with winged and panelled mid rails, all set on raked sabre legs.

Made by hand in around 1840 and of such superb quality that it has survived the rigours of time and use extremely well and is in excellent original condition.

Very beautiful and very usable.
