This is an exceptionally rare and extremely high quality large dining table seating up to eight people

The table is made from solid Cuban mahogany and has a hand carved gadroon and acanthus border and an inlaid wide rosewood crossbanding.

The elegant column with sabre legs each finely carved with drop bell husks and acanths and terminating in original large solid brass lions paw casters.

The quality and carved elements are distinctive and are found on the highest quality Gillows tables of the period.

Gillows marked a small percentage of its work, most commissions were not stamped and are identified on the original bills or in Gillows archives.
