Full Description
A good and original Georgian oak chest on chest of desirably small and narrow proportions, oak lined drawers with original elaborate 'Chineses Chippendale' pieced brass handles and escutcheons.

Very heavy and with lovely canted and reeded flanks to the upper case and a splayed outswept cornice, with two over six graduated drawers of lovely quality and with original oak linings in clean and solid order with no cracks or weakness.

The chest has bruises, small knocks and losses which reflect its long history and generations of caring use but these are entirely normal in a piece of such great agea and do not affect use.

A handsome, very original and substantial chest offering a lot of storage space yet of a desirably small and usable size.

The upper case lifts off the base for transport.
