A charming ash and elm low back Windsor chair, George III c. 1780, with a well carved wheel to the splat and beautiful cabriole legs to front.
Very comfortable and sturdy, heavy and in good original condition. No breaks, repairs or re-tipping to the legs. An old repair either side of the centre of the splat where it meets the arm rail. Old worm tracks to the surface of the elm seat (long since dead).
Structurally sound and solid, very attractive warm and well developed colour and attractive good patina.
