Full Description
A late Victorian solid walnut stool, very robust and elegant, comfortable and a good height.

The stool has been newly and professionally re-upholstered in Zoffany Ducato heavyweight velvet of a beautiful rich Olivine green colour with a subtle peacock feather and foliate pattern. This fabric retails at over £100 per meter.

Each cabriole leg with beautiful carved scallop shell at the knee and terminating in slipper feet.

A very beautiful stool, usable and practical and with lovely proportions. The stool retains its original seat rails and is very well padded.

Minor bruises, dings and marks consistent with age and use, but very few and the stool is in excellent condition for age.

The appearance and design like that of a Queen Anne stool made in c. 1700 but dating from c. 1900.
