Full Description
The chair with an elm saddle seat and yew back rail with three beautifully shaped and elegantly pierced solid yew wood splats, each centred with a hand carved roundel. All raised on four ring turned legs co-joining the yew crinoline stretcher. The chair solid and robust with no weak or loose joints and no repairs. All with a superior colour and deep natural patina and in very good original condition throughout with only minor knocks and small losses, there are a couple of very old fine and stable cracks - not going anywhere and consistent with age and careful use.

A beautiful early yew wood windsor chair, usable and solid, with a fabulous natural colour and patina.
