Full Description
A very good and sturdy set of ash and elm Windsor chairs with a well developed rich nutty colour and good patination and all in excellent robust and original condition.

Two carvers and three standards, all with Prince of Wales feathers to the splats and each splat pierced and carved with three delicate roundels.

Comfortable with deep and wide seats and a gentle rake to the backs. Plenty of width between the arms of the carvers.

Very sturdy, no weak joints, no worm or splits - all really good chairs and with well shaped elms seats.

Strongly recommended, this is a lovely early set of Windsor chairs in excellent original condition and all with a great colour.
