Full Description
Provincially made and primitive in design, the yew wood splat of a charming simplified pierced form, the back hoop and arm bow in yew wood also. With ring turned legs to front and back over ring and bulb turned feet. A substantive dart turned H stretcher. All solid and tight jointed, all original. A small repair (later wedged) to front left leg, visible on seat and shown in our photographs. A natural and honourable scar on a chair used by many generations and a credit to the maker that it is still going strong after around 200 years of use.
