A very substantial late 19th century/early 20th century wing back arm chair with short cabriole legs to front with carved scrolled detail at the hips and set on pad feet, to rear with raked legs.
A large and extremely comfortable chair, well padded throughout with a separate well padded cushion which is reversible. The upholstery is later and of excellent quality in a burgundy and old gold chenille which would benefit from cleaning but has very little wear and is of lovely design which suits the chair well. I genuinely think with cleaning the fabric would look like new.
If you are looking for a very attractive antique chair with lovely proportions, which is large enough to curl up in and very comfortable indeed then I can strongly recommend this example. It is reasonably priced as it came in part exchange for a Georgian chair and I am therefore selling at cost price and will include free UK delivery to most postcodes.
