Full Description
This beautiful long gilded mirror has such fine detailing to the frame. It dates from c. 1820 at the height of Regency exuberance, sophistication and refinement. The dolphin shaped feet house four original small brass casters. The frame with carved palmettes and set with lion masks to front and back, oak leaves curl around the reeded columns and the top rail is surmounted by expansive curls of ribbon.

The mirror plate appears original with a soft attractive hue to the glass and good clear reflection and with a few tiny age related freckles visible on very close inspection. The mirror can be angled easily and stays put when placed. Finished back, denoting a city maker.

Of superior quality and condition, a very rarely seen survivor and a beautiful Regency mirror.
