Full Description
A lovely solid fumed oak stick stand with original galvanised tray and bronze gallery to top rails and plinth, each set with fine beautifully shaped baluster spindles. The flanks and back post adorned with lovely engraved bronze mounts. The oak with a good and consistent colour, thickly cut boards with channel carved detailing and the fielded panels chosen to show the medullary rays.

The stand with a four cup shaped bronze bracket – for keeping a wet umbrella away from a prized walking stick. No worm or repairs, the tip of the back post mount finial is missing.

In very good condition for age, fabulous quality and steady and level. Of a useful but compact size and well proportioned. A really attractive example made in c. 1880 in the Arts and Crafts.
