Full Description
A stunning 19th century windsor chair, solid, heavy, hand made and original. The frame in ash and elm in a ‘Strawberry Hill’ gothic design.

The substantial cabriole front legs with carved spandrels to front and sides and a swept crinoline stretcher unites these with the well turned tubular back legs.

With gothic tracery pierced back splat.

Some scuffs and small marks consistent with age and use. Comfortable wide seat and plenty of space between the arms. A good size and nice gentle and supportive rake to the back. A very fine short crack in back of seat board hard to notice and as old as the hills.

A good chair in a sought after design and dating from around 1880
