Full Description
A very beautiful early English dresser of small and well balanced proportions. The oversailing top with carved ogee moulded border made from a single wide plank of oak. The three drawers each dressed in yew wood with original brass drop handles with pierced backplates and engraved decoration.

The drawers with original oak linings and substantial dovetailed joints. The whole peg jointed.

Original pine backboard and wonderful spiral turned front legs with ring and bulb turning extending through a substantial box stretcher.

Sturdy, very heavy and entirely usable, the dresser has been professionally restored and polished during the last half century and is in excellent showroom condition.

Some old shakes, knocks and worm tracks to the stretchers (worm long since treated and dead) and knocks, small dings and marks consistent with age and use.

Stunning and such a lovely small size. This dresser will look perfect in a cottage or a mansion and with a wonderful colour and particularly attractive patina to the yew drawer fronts.

Guaranteed to delight.
